We have got a brand new mutltiprocessor machine IBM pseries server with 2 processors. Now we want to buy a IBM DB2 license for this box. Does anyone know whether it is possible to buy a single processor db2 license for this machine and to configure the db2 software with db2licm just to use one processor.

We have a MSSQL with per seat license of 20. The MSSQL is sitting in the same machine as the asp.net. Does that mean that the the no. of connections and Max Pool Size are limited up to 20 only? Thanks, Ben

I'm trying to implement a licensing scheme. There are three types of licenses: Trial - good for 30 to 60 days Interim - good for 1 year Fully Paid - no expiration Everything is working fine and I've even implemented a registration system where the users can upgrade by just receiving a code from me.

Hi hi everyone. We have upgraded our DB2 LUW 8.2.1 which was directly installed from our DB2 CD's to DB2 LUW 8.2.6 (FP13). (system: HP DL385 (AMD64), single socket, dual core. 8GB memory. SLES 10. NetApp FAS250 storage array). This went quite well, but it rendered our permanent (legal) DB2 license invalid, and I can see of no way to get our environment up and running with FP13 installed.

We have v.9 installed on the same machine and I'm assuming there is a different license key? ....and no, we do not have a product cd - we download from the internet. And I do not have a record of the license key, and I'd

Hi all, I hope someone can help me out. I need to return the best available seats subject to the constraint that the seats are side by side (or return X consecutive records from a table column where the values are integers). I can do this programmatically (using code and stored procedures), but it's not a neat solution and there are also performance issues. Returning the best available X number of seats is very straightforward. But I...

Hey guys, I've gone one problem (so far) in my program to be able to assign and display seats. When I compile my program I get the error: SeatAssign.java:54: setSeats(char) in SeatAssign cannot be applied to (char, int, int) setSeats (Seats, row, col); ^ I have marked this line with some asterisks and was hoping we could deliberate on what the problem with it is? Thanks guys in advance.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
