Changing user schema

3 New Member
I am running MS SQL Server 2000. I need to programatically change a user to a different schema, but I only find the syntax for doins so in ORACLE which really doesn't help so much.

Can anyone give me the correct syntax to programatically change the SCHEMA the SQL user is using?

Thanks for your help!!

I want to 'grant sysdba to a user' for an application. (At least that is what I believe so far after having had this problem dumped on me 2 days ago.) The support we get from the application vendor is lame, to say the least. Our application users dont know anything. 1. The Oracle 9i server is installed on a Sun Solaris system. 2. I work...

Is it possible to use a DataAdapter to fill a DataTable, change the DataColumns of that DataTable (and maybe even it's name) and then commit those changes to the database (in my case SQL Server 2000)? Eg: Dim dc As New SqlCommand("SELECT TOP 0 * FROM SomeTable", SomeSqlConnection)

Hi, When I create a new user in DB2, can I set the default schema to an existing schema? The reason I want to do this is that I want to later connect to db2 as this user and access tables WITHOUT the schema name prefix. In addition to that, I want to use ADO.NET to connect as this user and query tables in another schema without the...

SQL Server 2005 64-bit 9.00.3042 SP2 When I map a database user to a login, I can specify a default schema for that user. After that, any SQL from that user w/o an explicit schema will be resolved to that default schema. I would like for this to happen in regards to user-defined functions (in this case, a scalar-valued function). ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
