losing ms sql server2000 data

1 New Member
Hi,

I have a massive sql 2000 database that an asp web application uses it. the problem is that one of tables is losing its records automatically without any logical reason.

I have also say that there is no DELETE sql command in any applications, store procedures & sql jobs. ( I flag records as Deleted rather than actually deleting. in addition, there is a triger on my victim table that says in case of delete command, delete a record from another table that guaranties no delete command should be executed on this table alone without expecting another delete in the second table.

I have also disabled all ms sql jobs, sprocs. and there is no database user with DELETE permission ( even sa )

I tried to monitor everything with Profiler but shows nothing unnormal and that why I am absolutely shook now !!!

Could anyone help me with this prob please?

Thank you

Regarads,

I'm maintaining (read: I didn't write it, nor do I have the time to spend to rewrite it) an application that is suddenly giving me grief. The reason I say suddenly, is because we're in the process of transitioning the server on which it runs from Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, to 2003 server (going from IIS 5 to IIS 6). This problem hasn't really occurred on the 2000 server machine, but it's happening MUCH more on the new 2003 box (not...

For this application we created connection object on load event of every form. The application runs on Server machine with no errors. We got some errors when the application/.exe run on client node, There is no error till log-in happens, the log-in form uses connection object. After that , when we click to open...

We're using SQL Server 7 with an Access 2000 MDB as a front end with ODBC linked tables. I recently created a new set of tables for the app, and users are complaining that unsaved data is being lost when they move to a new record. This seems to be the case when there are multiple users. When there is a single user using it, we don't seem to have that problem. It seems that we had this problem when we first converted from an MDB back end...

I know this issue has been brought up many times, but I have tried many of the solutions to no avail. I wanted to give my specific case to see if someone could be of any help. We are using the sessionstate inproc mode and users are randomly losing their session. I do not believe it is happening across all users at one time. It seems to happen to different users at different times, but I am only going off heresay. The aspnet worker...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
