Problems with transactional Replication in sql 2005

1 New Member
I am trying to set up two Dbs for transactional replication through the wizard. Every time i try to complete the process i receive the same error message.

"Property LoginSecure cannot be changed or read after a connection string has been set"

I have tried to modify the connection properties to every available possibility without success. I have modified the replication folder to be accessible to everyone, again no success.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings All, I was hoping that a replication sage might be able to answer a question for me. I want to have one subscriber subscribing to N publishers. I essentially have a company that has a main headquarters and three satellite offices. I want each of the satellite offices to push their data up to the master database. From what I have read it seems like this should not be a problem. Some questions that come to mind are: ...

Hi I tried posting this query in microsoft.public.sqlserver.programming but got no response. I am new to replication but I am trying to setup up a transactional replication of tables from one database to another in MSSQL 2000 (SP2). My target tables have primary keys defined. Under publication properties I go to the snapshot tab and for each table I clear the check box that says

First a bit about what I' trying to do. I'm running SQL Server 2005 Developer edition on my dev box. I've got two instances set up and am trying to set up transactional replication (with both immediate and queued updates) between the two instances. The windows account I'm using to run the replication agents (dist, logreader, snapshot and queuereader) is a domain account with the same rights as the SQLServerAgent on my box.

Hi All, I have a table with a column DeletedDate which stores a logical delete of a record. I need to set up transactional replication for reporting purposes that this deleted records should not be replicated to the subscriber. That is, if i see a value on the DeletedDate, I don't want that record to be picked up for replication.

Hi, I have transactional replication set up on on of our MS SQL 2000 (SP4) Std Edition database server Because of an unfortunate scenario, I had to restore one of the publication databases. I scripted the replication module and dropped the publication first. Then did a full restore. When I try to set up the replication thru the script, it created the

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
