Hi, I am new to python, hope someone can help me here:
I have a MS Access exported .txt file which is tab delimited in total
20 columns, now I need to add another column of zero at the 4th column
position and a column of zero at the 9th column position. What is the
best way to do this? Can I write a while loop to count the number of
tab I hit until the counter is 4 and then add a zero in between and
thru the whole file?
Thanks,
Garry

Hi All,
I am new to using the Access DB and I need some help if someone
is able to give it to me. What I want to do is get the names of
the columns of certain tables. Not the data in the table but the
table column names.
I've seen other posts that suggest using the SQL command DESCRIBE
but I can't get it to work for some reason. Other posts have code
samples but they're written in VB which I am not familiar with. I

I have a datatable that was created within a dataset. I dynamically add columns to the table as I add data. Previously added rows probably did not have data for the column that is being added. Since I’m added rows and maybe columns at the same time, what is column content for rows that have been added earlier? Are the data rows for the newly add colum equal nulls or zero length?
Thanks

I am not sure how to get a column from a datatable, I cannot use foreach.
DataColumn dataColumn = DataColumn TEXTDT.Columns.ColumnName.Trim();
if (rows < TEXTDT.Rows.Count) // this will prevent rows to exceed number of rows in TEXTDT
{
// Insert each answer
DataColumn dataColumn = DataColumn TEXTDT.Columns.ColumnName.Trim();

Hello;
A friend gave me this syntax and they are unavailable at the moment and I need this asap. I am trying to figure out how SQL figures this out. Below the syntax takes a field in a file and breaks apart the pieces of the key for other uses. The field looks like this 1234567*AWD*07FA (or 1234567*FPER*07FA). I just need to understand how the numbers behind the TA_2007_ID field work to break apart they key?? The first one is easy.. it...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
