merge database content

hi,

i have a sqlserver CE and a sqlserver database.
The tables are exactly the same on both databases.
the sqlserver CE database Content will be synchronized with the
sqlserver database with insert orders..
is there a way to merge the two databases?
this would be great cause different content will be inserted in both
databases. After a synchronisation both databases should have the same
content..

i hope you understood my problem. my english is not very well..

It sounds like you're looking for merge replication - see Books Online
for more details. Since replication is quite a specialized area, you
might want to post in microsoft.publi c.sqlserver.rep lication if you
need more detailed information.

Hey, all. I'm trying to develop a C# app that creates Word 2003 mail merge documents with an Oracle 9i database as the datasource. I used the following as an example of how I can start out: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;301659 The problem is that the code provided doesn't allow me to add more users to the mail merge data file. When I try to add an additional user with the following code, I get this error...

Does anyone know whether it is possible to effect a mail merge to MSWord using VBScript in an asp file? I know it is possible to produce a doc file and force a download using Response.ContentType = "application/msword" Response.AddHeader content-disposition","attachment;filename=myfile.doc" but can I interate through a bunch of records and produce, say, a separate invoice for each one by merging? I know how to iterate through the...

I have a strange situation using Access to automate a Word mail merge. Using Access 2000 and Word 2000, the code opens Word, opens the document in Word, sets a table in the calling Access application as the data source, and then performs a merge. Everything works fine. However, when a user uses it in Access 2002 and Word 2002, an extra instance of the Access application is opened and remains open at the end. Sometimes it remains open

I have set up a mail merge document in Word 2003 which gets its data from my Access 2000 database. I want to set up a button on a form that: 1. runs the query to provide the dat for the merge document in Word; 2. opens the document and runs the merge process for the new data. I have managed to write the code to perform step 1 ok, but I'm having trouble with step 2. It opens the word document fine but does not perform the mail merge of...

Help!!! What am I doing wrong? I am working with Office 2003 and am trying to create a command button on an Access form that will create a mail merge in Word from an Access table. I want to make the mail merge seamless to the user so all they have to do is click on the command button and the letters are generated. For the button I created an event procedure with the following code: Private Sub RunLetters_Click()

Hi all, I am trying to create an Access database for use purely as a more efficient way to enter fields into a Mail Merge for a friend who is an attorney. Currently, I am using Word's mail merge, but the problem with that is that it is time consuming and inefficient because there is no way to set it up to recognize commonly used entries and autofill the field. The first paragraph of the form letters look something like this (the parts...

Hi everyone, Is there anyway to automatically put Access data into Mail Merge in an existing Word doc with content? I have bits and pieces of this done, but I can't seem to put it all together. I am able to manually export an Access Query to Word, and the mail merge works fine. I am also able to open Word from Access, but unfortunately the Mail Merge data does not get updated since the manual export (thinking a few days later when the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
