Hello,
First, let me state that I am trying to learn asp.net, so I am a beginner.
Now on to the issue. I have a webform with a single Textbox and a
FileSystemWatcher monitoring a directory for OnCreate events. I am trying
to change the text in response to an OnCreate event. I would like to change
the Forecolor to red, from black. Apparently, this is not as easy to do as
in vb.net. I have tried the direct approach in the OnCreate...

I feel so stupid for posting this but I cannot figure out why I'm getting an error with this simple update query.
update
set = '02/14/06 06:00:00 AM'
where = '02/14/20 06:00:00 AM'
Gives me the following error:
Server: Msg 512, Level 16, State 1, Procedure HIFL3253_SO_15155, Line 1
Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the subquery is used as an...

Hi,
I have searched for the answer for this error message without
success. I have seen the question many times though:)
I create an ASP.NET project (VS 2005, C#), and use a very simple .mdf
file (which I can provide if necessary). I use 'Add new Item' and
pick 'DataSet'. I believe this creates a TypedDataSet, CORRECT? I
take all the defaults as far as Insert, and I pick the advanced tab
and ask for Update Statements and Delete...

Yes, a newbie here.
Though I am making progress, slowly, I am also getting more and more
confused.
With ASP, when I wanted to do something as trivial as updating a visitor
counter, I connected to a database, executed a SQL command to read the
current value of a field into a recordset, updated the value by adding 1 and
writing the field back to the table, closed and got rid of the connection
and recordset. I had no concerns about how...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
