Use the Client Network Utility on you local computer and create add the
client's SQL server. Create an alias, select TCP/IP as the connection method
and use the SQL Server's IP address as the name. Make a friendly name for
the alias.

Try to load it in Enterprise Manager.

If none of this works make sure the client's SQL Server isn't behind a
firewall that is blocking port 1433 and 1434. Pinging it just means that you
can reach the computer on the port for ICMP. Try telnetting into the server
on the SQL ports.

All our internet traffic has to go through a proxy-server at location 'dav-serv:8080' and I need to make a socket connection through it. The reason (with code example) is as follows : I am hacking "Tiny HTTP Proxy" by SUZUKI Hisao to make an http proxy that modifies URLs. I haven't got very far - having started from zero knowledge of...

Hello, I have written a simple logon page that redirects to another page when successful. All works fine on my computer but when I upload it I get the error message below. I have written it in ASP.net v2, and have put it on IIS v6 on windows server 2003. I think it may be something to do with connection string to the database,

My solution consists of 4 projects: - Class Library containing the server classes which Inherits MarshalByRefObject (ok, at this stage it only contains one class... but its gonna grow) - Class Library containing common classes and interfaces that will be shared between all projects. This include interfaces for the server...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
