Hi,
For some magical reason, my database replication has suddenly stopped
working. I modified the publication but the Distribution agent will
not run; the snapshot does not get applied to the subscriber, and
changes made at the publisher do not get replicated.
My configuration is: Transactional Replication with a 'Pull'
Subscription. The Subscriber is Updateable with Immediate Updates

We are looking to implement merge replication on our global databases.
The decision that we must make is whether to place all of the tables in
a single publication, to create publications that are grouped by system
modules, or to create a publication for each table. What I am looking
for is best practices or recommendations based on your experience as
far as what approach to take on this. The database contains
approximately 300 tables. ...

I have a TSQL script to add daily tables to replication and then run
the snapshot agent to distribute them to two subscribers. The script
executes without errors, but when I check the running jobs for each
server I see the following:
JUST AN EXAMPLE
Job1 'Category' REPL-Snapshot
Job2 'Category' REPL-Distribution
What is the difference between these two categories? Also 'Job1' works

Hi
When I try to resolve replication conflicts, first of all 'Microsoft
Replication Conflict Viewer' gets stuck for 15-20 seconds then it gives the
error 'There was an error trying to obtain data for a specific conflict
table for 'MyTable'. The viewer can not display this conflict.". In the log
file I get the following two types of entries;

I have never used replication before and I have been asked to consider
it in a project I am currently working on.
I have created an application for a sales team which is loaded on their
machines, it uses ms sql as its data source and connects via the
internet back to the central server in the office.
Problem is this has shown to be too slow causing time out error
messages and so on. I have been told to research the possibility of...

Hi,
I have transactional replication set up on on of our MS SQL 2000 (SP4)
Std Edition database server
Because of an unfortunate scenario, I had to restore one of the
publication databases. I scripted the replication module and dropped
the publication first. Then did a full restore.
When I try to set up the replication thru the script, it created the

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
