How is it possible to tell which version of ADO is installed on an XP workstation?

Thanks

One method is with the ADO Connection object Version property. VBScript
example:

Set connection = CreateObject("A DODB.Connection ")
MsgBox connection.Vers ion

Hope this helps.

Hi. I'm a new user of Python but I have noted a little problem. Python is a very good language but it is evolving, in particular its library is evolving. This can be a problem when, ad example, a module change its interface or its implementation in a fundamental way (an example: wxPython). This, I think, can be resolved by allowing an user to explicitly say what version of a module it wants (sush as version numbers in Linux shared...

I currently have Python 2.2 and 2.3.4 installed. I want to install Python 2.4, and erase 2.3.4, but retain 2.2, for I need it for my connectivity program. According to the the documentation: If you have a previous installation of Python that you don't want to replace yet, use make altinstall

This has not yet been published by Microsoft. It will be published within the next few weeks, mainly because I asked them to. I felt this was information badly needed, and I think this is the best group to share this information. A co-worker and I were able to determine how to tell exactly what version of .NET Framework is installed. We had to do this because we had to manually deploy the MS05-004 Security Bulletin to thousands of...

Just brought up a fresh installation. Installed IIS first, then VS.NET 2003. Now some of the applications I'm downloading complain that the ASP.NET server version is 1.0 and not 1.1. Um... I've checked, here, and it looks like ASP.NET is v1.1. The Framework certainly is. I'm confused??? Paul

I know I drilled down into the Windows folder\Microsoft.net\Framework\v1.1.4322 folder and looked at the version of Mscorcfg.dll to get the SP level from the version number: Mine shows v1.1.4322.573 which is supposed to be 1.1 with no service packs.

The Python SSL object offers two methods from obtaining the info from an SSL certificate, "server()" and "issuer()". The actual values in the certificate are a series of name/value pairs in ASN.1 binary format. But what "server()" and "issuer()" return are strings, with the pairs separated by "/". The documentation at "http://docs.python.org/lib/ssl-objects.html" says "Returns a string containing the ASN.1 distinguished name identifying...

Hi, not sure if this is the right place for this but it was definitely the closest I could find. I am having trouble with the GetFileVersionInformation/VerQueryValue functions and was wondering if anyone could help. All I am trying to do is obtain a string representation of a Version Info value for a given file. Currently, I am only getting strange unicode characters, so not sure if my problem is in the understanding of the functions...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
