Hi I have a requirement to use the Application Center Test (part of Visual Studio.Net Enterprise architect) program, to simulate loading on my Web servers. Does anyone know if it is any good? I have gotten it to work and it seems to do the job. I have a requirement to run multiple tests from many computers simultaneously. The manual seems to hint that

no this is no trollposting and please don't get it wrong but iam very curious why people still use C instead of other languages especially C++. i heard people say C++ is slower than C but i can't believe that. in pieces of the application where speed really matters you can still use "normal" functions or even static methods which is basically the same. in C there arent the simplest things present like constants, each struct and enum...

I'm trying to exit a Windows Forms application while in the form's constructor (after InitializeComponent() has been called) and am finding that calling Application.Exit () still leaves the form displayed and running. Trying to force the form to close with this.Close() does not work either. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I was looking through our vendors views, searching for something I needed for our Datawarehouse and I came across something I do not understand: I found a view that lists data when I use it in t-sql, however when I try to use the statement when I modified the view (via MS SQL Server Management Studio) I can not execute the statement. I get The column prefix 'dbo.tbl_5001_NumericAudit' does not match with a table name or alias name used...

Hi, I learned a little about the model view presenter pattern at a conference this last week and am experimenting with it. It's working pretty well but I have a question. I am trying to use it to reset info in a combo box. Below is some sample code for my view interface and the presenter: public interface IDevToolView

When and what does .Net want to compile? I have a file called upload.cs. I made changes to it. Tried to rebuild. But it won't saying "the application is already precomiled." I would have expected the cs code change to update the Dlls or something. What is it that I'm not getting? Even if it is precompiled, why can't I compile it again? Thanks....

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
