can any one tell me what indentation
Indentation is how python knows what a "block" is. Blocks are used for things like loops, if/else, function definition, classes, etc. For example:
-
for i in range(5): # begin for loop block
-
print i # indented (usually 4 spaces, sometimes 1 tab)
-
-
print "hello" # not indented, not in the block above it.
This is one of the coolest features of Python (IMO). No tags, no semi-colon, no parentheses - nothing but the right amount of whitespace.
