IDLE 1.1c2 on Linux - no selection ?

Hi,

with IDLE 1.1c2 under X11 on my Linux box I can't make a selection
with the pressed left mouse button any longer. The mouse seems nearly
dead. Just the right button pops up a 'Go to file/line'.
In previous versions I could make a selection with the left button and
copy it with the middle mouse button.
I have compiled 2.4c1 with tcl/tk 2.4.7

Thanks for any hints,

Helmut Jarausch
