I am trying to write a simple file transfer server in perl that will
reside of both windows and linux platforms. Basically, it accepts a
connection, forks a process, and then should close the child. on
windows, it dies after "accumulating" 64 children opened - however,
they should all (or most) have exited by that time. Any idea how to
get my children to exit and free up space for more connections?

C and XP 64 boots from D.
They both have VS 2005 Beta 2 installed.
I have a webapp developed in Win XP (32) which has gone well and runs fine
in XP.
I Now want to get this same app running under IIS on XP 64.

I am trying to execute a Socket.Select() statement on an arraylist of
sockets. The problem is that I can only go up to 64 sockets at a time. I
know that I have to manipulate the FD_SetSize to increase the limit. How
do you do that in C# in the .NET Visual Studio environment?
I could potentially have 1000's of simultaneous connections, so running
each socket in it's own thread doesn't seem very practical.

on this wkts. Did the license of XP 64 cover this downgrade?
Should I reinstall all the system without bought any licence of XP Pro?

I know my windows service works when i run it in debug mode on my dev
machine.
It also works in release mode on my dev machine. But, when I move the

a production server, it exits immediately with a start/stop/nothing to

Originally I got the error message defined in the AsyncPostBackErrorMessage
attribute on the ScriptManager tag.
After setting EnablepartialRendering="false", I got the "Invalid Postback or
CallBack argument..".
I then set <pages enableEventValidation="false"to see the actual error.
