Hi,
I've a checkbutton in my GUI application which I want to work as:
1. it should be un-ticked by default,
2. should display a label in Gui, by default,
3. when user ticks the check button this should the above label goes
off the screen and not longer is
displayed.
Please suggest how could I do this:
my code for the check button and label is :

varTestAll = IntVar()
self.cbTestAll = Checkbutton(mas ter, text="Test All", variable=varTes tAll )
self.cbTestAll. grid(row = 12, column = 1, sticky = W, pady = 30, padx = 30)
#Label - Version under Test
self.lblVersion UnderTest = Label(master, \
text = "v2.1.5.0")
self.lblVersion UnderTest.grid( row = 15, \
column = 2, \
sticky = W, \
padx = 30)

hi people.
when i create a widget, such as a toplevel window, and then i destroy
it, how can i test that it has been destroyed? the problem is that even
after it has been destroyed, the instance still exists and has a tkinter
name, so testing for None is not feasible:

Want to get rid of the "font =":
Widget.add_cascade(label = "File", menu = Fi, font = "Helvetica 12 bold")
Does anyone know what ????? should be to control the font of the cascade
menus (the labels on the menu bar)? "*Menu*font" handles the part that
drops down, but I can't come up with the menu bar labels part.

Hello:
Below I have included a stripped down version of the GUI I am working on.
It contains 2 dialog boxes - one main and one settings. It has the following
problems, probably all related, that I am hoping someone knows what I am
doing wrong:
1) Pressing the Settings.. Button multiple times, brings up many instances
of the Settings Panel. I just want it to bring up one. Is there an easy
way to do that?

I've come across a weird difference between the behaviour of the
Tkinter checkbox in Windows and Linux. The issue became apparent in
some code I wrote to display an image in a fixed size canvas widget. If
a checkbox was set then the image should be shrunk as necessary to fit
the canvas while if cleared it should appear full size with scrollbars
if necessary.

tkButtonDown(), tkButtonEnter(), tkButtonInvoke(), tkButtonLeave(),

However, they are not working, when you try, you will get:
