Hi,
I installed Oracle Designer 9i and its repository in the database.
When I start an entity-relationship diagram tool -> New diagram, I get a
prompt to select a default container, but the list to choose from is empty.
I try to make a new folder and select it but I can't make the tool to do it.
When entering Repository Object Navigator I also need to select container
and that works very nice.

manages employee promotions. On the MainForm a button launches the
PromotionForm and lists the promotions for the employee shown on the
MainForm. The buttons clickevent looks like this: DoCmd.OpenForm
stDocName, , , "EMPID = " & Me.txtEMPID
The results are FILTERED. The Form is Continuous.
Fields are: (EmpID) (Rank) (PromoDate) and UnboundTxtBox:

STATEMENT:
this programmes *tries* to do do this in 3 parts:
1.) it creates a "struct", named "jd", of type "address".
2. it then adds values to "jd"
3.) in the end it prints values of "jd".

What I'd like to do and what I tought possible was to have a deque of string when the string was a reference (not a pointer)
Then I simply tried:
std::deque<std::string const &> mFifo;
But, the compiler have some trouble with this at the first try.
From what I know, template is a powerful mecanism an STL a well programmed library. I'm using VS2005 but STLPort seems with a quick look to suffer the same problem I will discuss shortly.

Hello all! ( again )
Once more, I have a problem that seems unsolvable by me.
I'm getting the, seemingly common, "undefined reference" linking error.
I've tried quite a few things, but nothing is working. I'll list what I've tried at the
end of my post.
Until then, here's the error message, and the code ( Sorry...( length ) ) :

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
