From whet I can see, Python documentation is lacking a very important
piece of information. Very few functions have documented what
exceptions they raise, and under what cicumstances. Is this a task on
the schedule?
In my opinion, every function that might raise an exception should
state so explicitly in the documentation, even uncaught exceptions
from a subfunction.

Hello,
I am trying to build the boost 1.31.0 sample extension hello.cpp.
I can not compile the file inheritance.cpp because the two
files containing some templates: adjacency_list.hpp and mem_fn.hpp can
not compile.
Does anyone have any solutions?

I am using the following code instead of a very lengthly select case
statement.
(I have a lot of lookup tables in a settings form that are selected
from a ListBox. The data adapters are given a similar name to the
table. Rather than making a long Select Case that could become
obsolete if lookup tables are added and the source table of the
ListBox is edited I came up with this code.)

I've created a fresh build of Python 2.4.3 using the following configuration
$ ./configure --with-pydebug --prefix=/usr/local/debug --enable-shared
--with-fpectl --with-signal-module
in particular I used --with-pydebug.

I had a situation recently that required I manually load python bytecode
from a .pyc file on disk.
So, for the most part, I took code from imputil.py which loads the .pyc
data via the marshal module and then exec's it into a newly created
module object (created by imp.new_module()). The relevant pieces of code
are in imputil.py_suffix_importer and imputil.Importer._process_result
(where it exec's the code into the module's __dict__)

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
