PyOpenGL

I am currently sitting with a problem concering pyOpenGL.
PyOpenGL is the combination of OpenGL and Python. Is there a new version of PyOpenGL to go with wxPython 2.6 other than that of which is going with wxPython 2.4?

As of Nov 22, 2006, PyOpenGL is in version 3.0.0a5 which sounds like and alpha release. I have to imagine that wxPy 2.6 was tested with the previous stable release.

The problem is that wxPy 2.6 doesn't work the same with the previous PyOpenGL version. There must be some diffrences, I suppose something with wxGLCanvas,
but I'm still investigating.
The previous stable version works perfectly with wxPy 2.4 though

Yes, you're right! You're pretty smart
I like XP too, I just work more on fedora.
You'd be glad to hear that I think my app is close to perfection, meaning the errors are less, lets hope it stays that way ;)

Hi, why hasn't there a version of pyOpenGL for python 2.3.x yet? Currently the binary installers for windows only work with python 2.2, and will give an when installing for python 2.3. I can't build it either unless I build python 2.3 from source as well. Is there a work around available?? Thanks in advance. -s

This is probably a fairly newbie type problem, but I'm trying to use PyOpenGL, and don't seem to have installed it correctly. I'm running Python 2.3 on a Windows NT machine. Whenever I go into IDLE and type from OpenGL.GL import * I get a flagrant crash which shuts down IDLE.

I was interesting in adding selection and hit testing to ZOE, and was looking at the PyOpenGL wrappers' handling of selection and picking. I see glSelectBuffer to specify the size of the buffer, and glRenderMode properly returns the number of hits when put back into GL_RENDER mode, but I don't see any way within PyOpenGL itself to access the select buffer to actually process the hits. Is there any way to do this without using...

Hi all, Is it possible to have Python+Pygame+PyOpenGL in one compact package so people can play the games released at pyweek.org . I have been having a hard time getting the whole thing on windows as well as linux (Ubuntu 7.04) . Strangely, my pleas for the same on pyopengl have gone unanswered. http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=511f47f50704260036y2888db21p5cf650a7e472559b%40mail.gmail.com&forum_name=pyopengl-users...

Hi, I am distributing a package with a precompiled collection of modules and packages useful for Python based medical/biological/astronomical image analysis and algorithm development. (Codename: Priithon). For Priithon I put all modules/packages in a simple / single directory (tree) including one starting batch/script file. This script sets up PYTHONPATH to find modules at this place. It works fine for Windows,Linux and Mac-OSX. Now I...

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
