I created a page which I am using to prevent the user from hitting the BACK
button. I'll call it my "Auto Jump" page. When it is called it basically
auto-redirects to a page specified in the QueryString. (We'll call the page
it goes to the "destination page".) If the user hits BACK on the
destination page it should goto the "Auto Jump" page which should put you
right back to where you hit the button.
In Page_Load of this "Auto Jump"...

Hi,
I have a database with 2 main forms. Contacts and companies. I share
the base with two others via LAN. On the companies form I have buttons
to navigate throught the records
(>400). We are mostly handling let say 5 companies. Every time I have
to navigate or choose the find record button to get the right company.
I am looking fo a feature to have listed in a combo list the last 5
visited records ("recently visited records").

Hello Everyone,
I have Windows XP. I hope that someone can assist me with the command prompt. Does anyone know if the commands I enter into the command prompt are automatically saved to a session/history file on the C drive and/or in the registry? For example, I would like to open this "file" and view the commands I have entered (e.g. ls –l, CD.., ipconfig /all). I am not looking to manually forward the commands or output to a text file; I...

Hi,
I was hoping someone might have some ideas on how I can hack around a problem I'm having with the auto-complete feature of the ComboBox.
I have a data entry application that uses a pair of ComboBoxes on the main entry screen. These are configured to use the Suggest Append auto-complete feature with the List Items as the data source.
Functionally, it works great and really helps speed up the entry process.
However it appears that when...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
