hello, in a singleton design, i trying to make my parent class having
protected constructor and destructor. however, the compiler give me
error when my child, trying to delete itself through parent pointer.
isn't child should have access to parent protected destructor?

hi-
i have a custom control that can be dragged onto a form.
the control can be dragged around the form with the mouse.
i want to draw a selection box around my control when it is selected
to be dragged.
on the mouse down event of my control i want to pass the
size of the control and the location to the parent so that i can
draw a selection box around it.

I have a webform on this form is a User Control and another webform in
IFRAME
On the User Control there is a save button.
I want to click this button and somehow tell the webpage in IFRAME that the
button was clicked, how would I do that?
(in other words I want to save the webform data in IFRAME when the save

I'm still trying to fully understand how best to pass variables between
pages/usercontrols/each other.
On a current site I've done, I've had one userControl do the logic and set
the variable, and then I had other usercontrols simply read this by
traversing the class structure: siteClass.userControlClass.specficVariable.
That worked fine.
The new site I'm working on is a bit different, as I'm using multiple

For user actions on a wxWidget that trigger multiple events for that
wxWidget, is the order those events are processed in undefined,
and therefore arbitrary from one platform (ie Windows) to the next
(ie Linux)?
Specifically, I have a convience aggregate class that combines
a wxStaticText with a wxComboBox, as I often need those two
at the same time. The aggregate catches events from the wxComboBox

I have a task, I have fragmented the task into subtask. I have planned
to create a class to each subclass and one parent class to handle the
sub tasks. Each subclass are saved in seperate file and all my
subclasses and parent class are placed in the same folder.
The parent class is subclass of wx.Frame, and subclasses are subclass
of wx.Panel. Each subclass will create a GUI for each task..

Hello. When I tried to make Tkinter canvas widget respond to
MouseWheel event on Windows XP, I failed. The canvas just doesn't

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
