Does numarray search for blas and lapack during installation?

I have a PC with Debian sid installed. I install all my Python stuff in
/usr/local. I just installed numarray 1.3.1. Blaslite and lapacklite
were compiled. Did the installation process search for blas and lapack?

IIRC, no. But the setup.py script is fairly easy to hack to link in
your own blas/lapack libraries.

Hello, Could someone please provide instructions for install Numeric with ATLAS and LAPACK? I've actually done this correctly, I think. But I don't see any difference in the speed. I'm calculating eigenvalues for a 3600 X 3600 covariance matrix.

Hi I hope the title of this message indicates my question. I am looking for basic array functionality in Python and it turns out that there are all these packages which are somehow related. Some are allegedly discontinued but still seem to get updated. Could we start a discussion about which package will or may or should survive ?

Thank you! I have downloaded the lapack.tgz and the fortran compiler (g77) is on my computer. Thank you! Tao Yang

Hi, i'm learning how to use lapack library (in particular, Intel MKL). I wish to know how I have to format the my inputs. I'm calling lapack functions from c++ (zhetri, zhemm, zgemm, zhseqr, ztrevc). I declare the 3x3 matrix (in c++) in this way: complex MyMatrix; I intend MyMatrix, MyMatrix, MyMatrix

Hi, don't know if this is the correct group, but try anyway. I would like to use boostbindings from the boost sandbox together with my project where I use boost::numeric::ublas vectors and matrices. I would guess that I could use these directly with the bindings in the boost sandbox like:

hello -- i'm working on a C++ code that uses dgemm in a simple way, but i want ports of my code to different machines to be easy. further, i want to make compiling of my code easy for new users -- i don't want them to compile more libraries than absolutely necessary (compiling ATLAS or GotoBLAS is necessary). i already have my code working with both BLAS and CBLAS interfaces,

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
