I have a C/C++ file that I simply want to 'extract' a function from.
Something like: extract <function name> <c or cpp file>
I want it to return from the beginning of the function, to the end.
I tried cscope, and that will find the function, but it won't tell me
how many lines it is or extract it for me.
Any ideas on what I could use?

I would like to be able to extract a BLOB from the database (SqlServer)
and pass it to a browser without writing it to a file. (The BLOB's
are word doc's, MS project doc's, and Excel spreadsheets.
How can I do this?

This could be over 20 songs.
I have these files zipped on the server in one *.zip file.
Is there any c++ code, or library that could help me do the following.
Download zip file to users computer.
Unzip the file and extract the files into songs subdirectory.

I downloaded 90-day trial version of Visual Studio 2005 but this
thing
is only in .img file format
and Microsoft does not provide any extraction utility for .img files.
According to this page (related to another software with at least
alternative.iso format)
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/support/install/
you have to use 3rd party programs, and the ones listed are not free
and charge min $30.

Hi :-)
I am creating a software that will save the present state of all the
applications running on the desktop (WinXP).
Can anyone point out the method to extract the filenames from the
handles (or otherwise) of the files that are being accessed by
processes and programs ?
For example : If I have opened xyz.docx in MS Word 2007 then I want to
find out the name of the file ("xyz.docx") and its complete path

Hi all
Does anybody please know a way to extract an Image from a pdf file and save
it as a TIFF?
I have used a scanner to scan documents which are then placed on a server,
but I need to extract the image of the document (just the first page if
there are multiple pages) and save it as a TIFF so I can then use the
Tesseract OCR to get the text in the image.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
