WordNet Developers Forum - Python Section Added

Hello all,

I have set up a forum dedicated to WordNet Developers. I just added a
section for Python developers that are using PyWordNet or other Python based
WordNet interface modules or code. Note, the forum is more for the
discussion of designing WordNet based applications and programming issues,
rather than support for any particular Python module that interfaces with
WordNet. That support is usually better found on the module author's web
site or SourceForge project page. (Although if you are the author of such a
module, please stop by! :)

You can have a look at the forum here:

http://www.wordnetchat.com/phpBB2/

You can see a lively discussion on using WordNet to classify and query
textually annotated audio files.

http://wordnetchat.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3

If you would like to tell others about the forum so they can join the fun,
here's an HTML snippet to link to the forum:

<a href="http://www.wordnetchat .com/phpBB2/" >WordNet Developers Forum</a>

Thanks

Hi, I'm going to say a suggestion, why don't you create a forum like the one of Ruby (http://www.rubyforums.com/)? for the novices this is a great help, better than a mail list It's also worth noting that rubyforums.com has nearly no posts (six total) because it takes very just a short time working. I know that you have python-list, it's both an email and a usenet list.

Is the following intuitively feasible in Python: I have an array (I come from C) of identical objects, called sections. These sections have some feature, say a length, measured in mm, which is calculated by a method A_length of the instantiation of the Section's class. Only, two elements in the array (or list ?) have a length that must be calculated according to a totally different procedure, a different function or method. After...

I asked my hosting company if they would upgrade Python on my server to the latest version. They responded with: "Sorry no. We tend to stick with what comes packaged with the unix distribution to ease maintenance issues. There is nothing stopping you from running your own version of python from within your own account. Download the source and compile it and install it into your own space. Adjust the fist line of your python scripts to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
