Getting sub-objects from ADSI

How do I get the underlying values from Win::OLE=Hash(0 x...) type
objects? I can do it in Perl, but not in Python.

For instance, I get

CN=Fred
<COMObject <unknown>>
<COMObject <unknown>>

when running

#! python

import pythoncom
from win32com.client import GetObject

UserPath = "LDAP://CN=Fred,OU=Two, OU=One,DC=nw,DC =home,DC=here,D C=com"

ldap = GetObject(Userp ath)

print ldap.Name
print ldap.Groups()
print ldap.LastLogoff

I know that Groups is of the type <bound method CDispatch.Group s of
<COMObject ...>>, but that knowledge does not help me much. I have
fiddled a bit with GetInfo and Dispatch, but it doesn't change the
results.

Hi I'm pretty new to Access here (using Access 2000), and appreciate the help and instruction. I gave myself 2.5 hours to research online and help and try to get this one, and I am not getting it. Simple database: I want to have a user enter Supply Orders (just for tracking purposes) by Item. The user may also enter a new item - "new" is a combination of Item, PartNumber and Vendor - they could have the

All I want to to be able to take a two-column DataReader (One column with the Item ID number, the other with Item Description text) and load it into a Windows Forms ComboBox (Set to DropDownList mode) so that I the dropdown shows the Item Descriptions, but returns the Item ID number when selected. Completely easy in ASP.NET, but I cannot figure out how to do the same in a Windows Forms app. Obviously the Windows Forms ComboBox is a lot more...

I'm noticing this since I started developing a website project: my session variables are getting empty! I did a real easy test, and I checked my session variable is getting empty!! What is happening? For example (VS2005, IE6/7, running in filesystem): - In the Page_load of page1.aspx: Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Throw New Exception("Error is thrown") End Sub

Please help with this one,,,,,I've been trying everything in my arsenal to fix this one. I'm stumped.... I"ve got a unbound combo box (customername) that has two events (on click); AfterUpdate and NotInList. The AfterUpdate uses a 'me.recordsetclone' in order to display other data in controls associated with customerid/customername from the Customer table. The NotInlist, does just that, adds a new customer name to the list along with...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
