Hello,
I have an application that will be logging to a SQL Server 2000
database user user activity from several Windows 2003 terminal
servers. This information will be retrieved by monitoring the
Security logs of these servers (this part I know how to accomplish
already).
A table in the database, tblLogEntries, will contain the following
fields:

Does anyone know what the command line argumentto launch a
screensaver's options/configuration dialog is on Windows XP Pro?
From most of the example source code I can find on the web, it would
seem to be '/c' but that does not seem to work for the screensaver I
have written. I've tested my code and if '/c' is the first argument
then the options dialog is launched but Windows XP does not seem to be
supplying the '/c' argument when I...

I am using Access 2002. I downloaded the forms sample database
FrmSmp97.mdb from Microsoft and used the following code in the timer
event of a hidden form in order to close a database if no activity was
detected. I have it set for one minute for testing purposes only.
However, my problem with this code is when the message box pops up and
says "No user activity detected...", you have to actually click the OK
button before the database...

I am designing a program that will detect when a computer becomes locked (screen saver comes on/Ctrl+Alt+Del).
I am looking to detect that and update a database for a custom Time Tracker program. Much the same way Windows Messanger will update a person's status to Away when their computer locks.
Anyone ever come across the code for this?

I have a chat application. I want it to show the user as "away" if no
activity on the computer occurs for a certain amount of time.
I have a timer that I set for the correct interval, when it ticks, the chat
status changes to Away.
How can I detect any activity (mouse move, keypress, etc) on the computer
(not just in my app)?
Also, there's no Timer.Reset. So is the only way to reset the timer back to

I want to detect user activity (mouse move, key click). For certain
critical areas (Form in my app.), I want to check whether there is any
user activity for a certain interval. If not, then I want to log off
the Form. I don't want to user Timer controls. Is there any build
in .NET class that can do this and return user-activity.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
