I would like to use an open-source database system for implementation and would really appreciate your opinion on whether PostgreSQL is suitable for the project. In general, I am very impressed by the quality of PostgreSQL code and documentation, as well as by the support of the developer community. ...

Hello, I am unable to get on many of the postgresql mailing lists. I usually get this message back with no attachment and no email comes afterwards with a confirmation. I've tried this over and over on multiple lists. After a while I was able to get on pgsql-admin...but it took a few tries. It's been a couple days now, so I'm assuming majordomo has had time to process my request.

Hello! I have 24/7 production server under high load. I need to perform vacuum full on several tables to recover disk space / memory usage frequently ( the server must be online during vacuum time ) The one trick that i see is to try to vacuum duplicate of production database ( or just some tables ). But there are some pitfalls: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.4/interactive/backup-file.html

There are some words that are returning results just fine but others that should return results aren't. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
