Hi,
I want to control 'Scheduled Tasks' in Windows 2003 by python program.
But I couldn't find any Python module about win32 'Scheduled Tasks'.
I could find only Perl module about it. (see http://taskscheduler.sourceforge.net)
But, I want to control 'Scheduled Tasks' by python :)
Is there any python module about win32 'Scheduled Tasks'?

Hi,
I am writing an App in .Net that involves some scheduling of tasks. I was
wondering if anybody has come accross any components or examples of how to
implement a schedule manager like the one in the Task Scheduler for Windows?
Basically I'm after something that'll allow me to specify a "recurring" or
"once off" schedule with advanced options like "the first monday in the
month" etc.

I would like to have my application add administrative tasks to an
Administrator's Outlook Task Folder. I know how to get the User group of the
CurrentUser and think I can even code how to do the actual additions.
A couple of questions:
1) How do I code it so that it only occurs once - the first time the
administrator opens my app. I think I need code that checks if the tasks are
already there in Outlook and then aborts if they are....

I'm able to use the Bacground Worker class to execute task and pain the
UI. However I want to be able to execute n tasks in order, say n1, then
n2 if there were no errors during n1, n3 so on.
I'm wondering what would be the best way to do this , do I wait in a
do...while loop for each to finish and then start another ?
thanks

How can I access and manipulate Scheduled Tasks in Windows using
Python?
I have a Windows XP workstation running Python 2.4.4 using the
win32all modules to control the windows services on multiple Windows
2003 servers. It works great.
However, I also need to remotely collect the settings for the
scheduled tasks (on those same Windows 2003 servers) and then
manipulate those task settings.

I need to go through a set of tasks. Each task has a priority (low/medium/high) and a status (Open/In progress/Closed). Each task also has a membership (Internal/External/Other).
My problem is that I need to (in pseudocode):
1 Go through all tasks to see if they are "Open" OR "In progress"
2 For all tasks that are "Open" OR "In progress" --> Order the tasks based on priority (High = first row of the column. Low = rows below both High &...

I'm running 8.2 on Windows.
I have a situation where several scheduled tasks were created in Task
Center, under an ID of a person who is leaving the organization.
This person's ID is to be deleted, but I see no way of reassigning the
owner of these tasks. And I can't change permissions on the tasks
without logging in as that 'owner' ID.
Is renaming the ID and resetting the password a viable option here?

Hello--I'm using Outlook. When on "Tasks", my page is set up with "To do List" at the top. I've sorted 'my view' to contain what is important to me. So on my view, it will say "Due Date: Sept. 1, 2008" and then below that are my tasks for the day, organized the way I want. Below all those tasks is another row, "Due Date: Sept. 2, 2008" with all my tasks below that. Etc. Etc.
My question is---is there a way to change the font or color on "Due...

Hello,
I am working on a program that must perform a certain task on numeric data stored in a file. The task is given by user input from a list of possible tasks.
The file has some particular format and I have already a loop that is able to read sequentially data from the file. The question is how to operate with the data inside the loop in an efficient way.
The straight forward way (which I did) is creating as many functions as tasks...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
