Logging database and statement with errors

CSN
I'm getting a bunch of these in my log:

2003-11-22 21:00:00 ERROR: syntax error at or near
"s" at character 87

I think there might be an unescaped ' getting through.
Is there a way to have the database and statement show
up along with the error? log_statements appears to log
every statement.

Sure, Does your version have log_min_error_s tatement? If so, just set
it to 'error' in postgresql.conf , pg_ctl reload, and you should see the
statements.

I have a various different packages within this web application that I am writing and I am attempting to set up log4j to log directly to a database. So each class is calling just a generic logger: Logger.getLogger("generic"); and I have the PropertyConfigurator read in some properties from a log file that define the database connection, the user, pass, ... The logging to the database works, but it does not log every statement it...

Ok, I've managed to get the logging package to work, sort of. I'm writing a text parser, where data entry clerks can edit large, unwieldy and unforgiving textfiles that are VERY SENSITIVE as to where things are located, ie the decimal place MUST BE 15 spaces after the last word on the line. So I'm writing a backend, and a Microsoft Access guru is writing the gui. Once they edit the files by field, the corrected files are sent to a...

Hi, The problem is the following: I have experienced some ASP errors in my web application and I'm unable to reproduce those errors because IIS is configured in a way that does not send any debugging messages to the user (and I cannot change it). Only standard string "An error occured on the web server when processing the url..." is sent. So, two questions: 1) Is there any way to log such situations to the eventlog, a file, database or...

Hi, A few points to confirm as I am still new with DB2. 1. What will happen if archive logging is used, however there is no userexit or manual process to move those online archived logs to another directory. At this moment my LOGPRIMARY is set to 3. Will the logging hang? 2. Does LOGSECOND apply to circular logging only? If if use archive

I am trying to implement database error logging in my asp.net application. When I inspect the exception variable, I see that there is a property called 'procedure' which I believe is the procedure or fucntion that caused the error. How can I get at that variable to write it to my error log? Thanks, Denise

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
