Adding a search box to a site

Hello Programmers. Am having a problem, want to provide a search box to my website. i have tried figuring that out but i dont get the answer. pls help.

The thing is when i type like registration, want the registration page to be launched.

this particular one needs javascript, as the search box is likely to use AJAX to communicate with the server.
