dns lookup using php

hi,

i have a small webserver that i host for media only its connected to my router and is connected nicely to the WWW. the problem im having is that my router ip addresses changes every so often, to counter this I have dyndns and it automatically updates the ip address to my selected hostname.

i am using wowza media server and unfortunately it doesnt work with hostnames only ip addresses and flash doesnt cater for the dynamic ip changes. the actionscript is still in BETA so i will not chance it incase it doesnt work later on.

to get around it i want to use php to look up the hostname and bring back the current ip address to the hostname so it can pass the vars to the flash file so it can connect to the media server.

i have a link to a site that does it but i cant find a site with a script or tutorial... any one have any ideas as to where i can find one?

http://www.ipaddresslocation.org/dns...ess-lookup.php

i know how to get a hostname by a users ip address but cant work it out the other way round
