using smtp mail in php with windows xp...

P: 9
Hello everyone,

Can someone please help me out, i've looked all over the internet for a way to use smtp with php on my windows xp wamp server.

What I'm trying to make is a little script that sends out an email to email addresses users input. The sending mail addess is on a remote smtp server, so for example, i'd have to put in the smtp address, user, and password, and then be able to send mail from address@domain.com.

I've tried using pear but i'm not really sure how to get that going with wamp. I've seen scripts that allow xp users to put in their smtp server user/passs info but those never work.

Any help will be greatly appcreciated!

I recommend the class phpmailer.

It is free to download and easy to Google
