using smtp mail in php with windows xp...

P: 9
Hello everyone,

Can someone please help me out, i've looked all over the internet for a way to use smtp with php on my windows xp wamp server.

What I'm trying to make is a little script that sends out an email to email addresses users input. The sending mail addess is on a remote smtp server, so for example, i'd have to put in the smtp address, user, and password, and then be able to send mail from

I've tried using pear but i'm not really sure how to get that going with wamp. I've seen scripts that allow xp users to put in their smtp server user/passs info but those never work.

Any help will be greatly appcreciated!
