Cannot run DRUPAL a content management system

I downloaded Drupal from drupal.org,I am using Apache2 and MySQL
3.2.... but I am unable to run Drupal the CMS. It links to
/php/?something and it give me an error that i cannot access the /php/
directory. Please Help and help fast.

I do not know Drupal. Their must be some install requirements that came
with the download.
