PHP and libmysqld Docs/Example

Can we usr libmysqld (embedded MySQL server) and PHP?

If this is possible I would greatly appreciatedif someone would eiter point me
to example, docs, tutorials or provide a brief example.

Anther way to ask this might, how do I make a call to a library in general?

TIA,
David
