Beginner PHP Book

Hi,

I have looked all over for a php 5 noobie book for ever, one that is
easy but indepth...

If you could please reccomend a great book for us noobs in PHP world..

I only know html and some php..

I liked Larry Ullman's PHP and MySQL. It was a 1st then, but I think
just got a 2nd edition.

O'Reilly's PHP Cookbook helped me out some too.

My biggest learning took place by doing projects. I would come up with
something that a potential client would request and go build it.
Learning and failing along the way, but getting a good foundation along
the way. Of course with copious amounts of Googling thrown in.

not a book but I offer PHP online courses that are easy to understand
and affordable for everybody.

If you could please reccomend a great book for us noobs in PHP world..

Buy "Beginning PHP, Apache, MySQL development" by Wrox, it is
outstanding. I have read most of the major ones but that one is pretty
much perfect to learn from the point of novice. Complete all the
sections and then you have enough of a basic grasp to go and learn to
do anything you want in PHP.

I also have Ullman's PHP and MySQL for dynamic web sites, which
contains stuff that is a bit more advanced, but its more boring to work
through if you are beginner so I would recommend buying that after you
have got through Wrox's, just to have handy for all the stuff it has in
the appendices (note: Wrox is the publisher's name, it was written
collaboratively).
