need help with dom xml

Hi,

I need to use a 'socket server' to use with Flash and its 'xmlsocket()'
function.
I've found Patserver
(http://www.php-tools.de/site.php?&PH...r/overview.xml)
which seems to be pretty much simple and which would perfectly feet my
needs, but when I execute the main script I get an error :
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: xmldoc() ...

when I have look closer it seems it's coming from those lines :

//create dom tree
$xmldoc = xmldoc( trim( $xml ) );

//get root element (type of request)
$root = $xmldoc->root();
$requestType = $root->node_name();

I use php 4.3.2

'xmldoc()' is not anymore part of the domxml library since it was a beta
function implemented in 4.1.x and had since that been replaced by DOMXML
new functions in 4.2.1, so I had a look at php.net doc. and replaced by
'domxml_open_mem()' :

//create dom tree
$xmldoc = domxml_open_mem( trim( $xml ) );

//get root element (type of request)
$root = $xmldoc->root();
$requestType = $root->node_name();

but I still get an error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: domxml_open_mem() ...

I thought that DOMXML was compiled by default with 4.3.2 version of PHP,
am I wrong ?

What do you think ? Where is the error ? What should I do to make it work ?
