user (local) access

I can't see .php content when:
- I write it as non-root user (i.e. test's account)
- save it to somewhere in /usr/home/test
But I can see the .html content.
This problem does not happen when the .php is
owned by root and in /usr/local/www/data.

can you please define "i can't see"

I do not know what you mean, is it not in a directory listing under 'ls' or
can your ftp client not see it? does your web server not see it?

how are you writting it? in a text editor on the server?

when you say you can see the .html, how with what? pico, browser?

how are you trying to navigate?
you say no problem if the files are in /usr/loval/www/...

does the server map the /home directories?
