ereg_replace at PHP > 4.3.2

Is there anything change in "ereg_replace()" PHP > 4.3.2.
Scripts works in PHP 4.3.1 but NOT in PHP 4.3.2:

$text = "<!-- test -->";
$text = ereg_replace("[[:blank:]]+"," ",strip_tags($text));
echo $text . "I<br>\n";

Result:
PHP > 4.3.2
I<br>

PHP 4.3.1
< test >I<br>

Any Hints?
Thanks Roland

Not ereg_replace() - I think the change you are seeing was a fix to
strip_tags() to remove HTML comments. Probably related to PHP
bug # 22008 which was fixed 4.3.2.
