PHP install problem under Win2k

I'm trying to install PHP 4.3.3 under Windows 2000 Server as an ISAPI DLL (on my
development PC). Things weren't going smoothly so I uninstalled it (with the
Wise wizard) and now it still shows up under the Control Panel installed
programs! I hate it when that happens.

Be that as it may, I uninstalled it for two reasons. Firstly the file
php4isapi.dll was no where to be found.

Secondly, I read somewhere that IIS doesn't like spaces in path names. I had
installed in \Program Files.

Before I try again I have some question. To set my frame of reference, about
the only thing I know about server-side programming is ASP.NET. I don't know
anything about cgi or PHP.

Why are there two install choices, for cgi or as an ISAPI DLL? Which one should
I use? And why was php4isapi.dll not created?

Thanks for your help.
