Heya, Partha. Welcome to TSDN!

I have split your post into its own thread to avoid hijacking the original poster's problem and to give your problem a better chance of getting seen.

Hi,

when the uploaded file is beeing taken care of it's stored in a global array called $_FILES. Here you can access all types of useful information, amongst other things the original name of the file, by original name I mean the name the file had on the client machine from where it was uploaded.

Hope this helps

In relation to your post, I have a problem where I have multiple files uploaded at ones into $_FILES, Do you know how I can loop through $_FILES to obtain the $_FILES['filedata']['tmp_name'] and $_FILES['filedata']['name'] for each uploaded file, I am having an extremely hard time figuring that out by using foreach and for loop...is there another way to do that...

Thanx for any help on this...

Hi,

Hi, I am facing a different problem in my application. In that I am uploading a folder that contain only images. Everything was done and was working fine too. When I executed the application using the localhost it works fine. But when my machine acts as a client and executes the application from another machine (considered as the server) it is telling that the folder is not found, even if the folder is present in the client machine. The...

Howdy, I have a function that uploads an image and that works great. I love ..Nets built in upload, so much easier than 3rd party uploaders! Now I am making a public function that will take the path of the uploaded image, and resize it with the provided dimensions. My function is below. The current function is returning an error when run from the upload function: A generic error occurred in GDI+. Not sure what exactly that means. From what...

I have an asp.net application that works with a SQL server database on server No. 1 but I want to upload files for storage to Server No. 2 that is accessible only from the Internet. If the file storage was on server No. 1, I would specify a physical file path (ChosenDirectory) for storage of the uploaded file but in my case I need to specify a virtual path like http://server2/folder1/. I'm trying to use server.mappath to convert the...

Hi to all, Firstly I must state my knowledge of php is limited but I am a quick learner. I have taken on the task of finishing a friends website due to his untimely passing and have hit a problem with the completion of his work. The site involves the uploading of a picture, jpg, png or gif. as part of an order process. The files involved are called order.php, step1.php and then step2.php. The picture uploads to the upload folder,...

I want to use a command button, say "cmdDisplayImage" to display/ transfer a captured image from the ezVidCap1 control to an image or OLE box on the same form such as "PhotoPreview" (not sure which one is possible/best...perhaps someone can help me...I'm new at this.) I really don't want to "save" it first. Then, I want another command button such as "cmdSaveImage" to save the file to a folder (such as \\Server\Database\Images when...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
