Copy image from a URL into a local folder

What can be the simplest perl code to copy an image(a perticular jpg file) from URL to a local folder. Before putting it to the local folder I need to rename it to 1.jpg.

You will want to have a look at something like the www::mechanize module.

On the flip side, if you have a direct url to the image you want to downlod, you can use lwp-download to do that for you as well.
