concatenation error with <STDIN>

63 New Member
Hi,
I want to read some stuff from the input line and build a string with it.
My code is:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. print "insert title\n";
  2. $title=<STDIN>;
  3.
  4. $output="_"."$title"."_1000";
  5. print "$output\n";
my problem here is that my string is in different lines
If I input "Rocky" I get:
_Rocky
_1000

I needed:
_Rocky_1000

I know this happens because of the STDIN since if I assign directly the var $title with "Rocky" it works fine.

Can someone help here building the string in one line?

TIA,

Joćo
