Need help regarding usage of LWP:UserAgent;

4 New Member
I am using this LWP::UserAgent; in quite a few applications. Now I am interested to know, is there any way to search for a given variable in a website. Let's say. I have a form which takes input from user.
$user_input=$pa ge->param('input') ;

if($response->content =~ m/$user_input/i) is not working???

I know this will work for some string like
if($response->content =~ m/Jazz/i)

But I need to give a variable here. Please help.

Hello - I am new to Perl, so sorry if this is a silly / ultra easy question. I am using LWP::UserAgent to POST a HTTP message to another website, and it works great. However, I can't figure out how to redirect the user to a script at the same time as the post. (i.e. emulate sumbitting a form and being sent to a page. $org_response = $res->as_string; this gives me the page as a string, but

When running the sample code below without a proxy the GET returns the expected data. When run with the $proxy uncommented the GET returns the content of the login page for the site being accessed. The site in the code is valid for ease of testing. I also am including the LWP debug info for each attempt. Can anyone explain this behavior and what can I do to correct it? Thanks in advance

If credentials are turned off on the WM server, I can get my...

Win32::OLE --> "DDE" or "OpTcl" LWP::UserAgent, HTTP::Request --> "Scotty" Net::Telnet --> "Expect" ('spawn telnet') I have used Expect but haven't used Scotty, DDE or OpTcl before.

Hi all, I am attempting to use the LWP::UserAgent to request a Soap call, and in the response the request returns a TIFF image. When I write the contents out to a file(binary mode), the file also contains header information. How would I go about extracting just the body(TIF image) of the response? #!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use Data::Dumper; use LWP::UserAgent;

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
