hOW TO DEVELOP CUSTOMIZE FIELD VARIABLE IN SELECT

Suppose that
we taken field variable in a memory variable and then
memory variable use to in select
when i am done its not working or display name of memory variable not treat as variable.
Please help me its urgent!!!!!!
