This is my first post here, I hope this is the right place to talk
about such things. I have few comments and notes on the Python
language. I've just started to learn it; this is negative because I'm
ignorant still, but it's also positive because I can still see details
that later probably I'll start to ignore.
Some of the functions of IPython seem good and simple, and I think
some of them can be integrated into the main Python line.

We have begun to use OEM to monitor/manage our Oracle Databases; we
have quite a few SQL Server databases as well and we would like to use
OEM to monitor those databases as best as possible (As much as the
product allows us to). Does anybody out there have any experience
with this and if so would you mind offering some tips on how to use

I am using Access 2000 and Oracle 9.2.0.x on a Windows 2000. I have
setup Oracle 9.2 ODBC Driver (I have not yet figured how to set
Microsoft's Oracle ODBC driver).
I am exporting a table from Access to Oracle and I get following error:

The higher-ups are attempting to force me to run Postgres over NFS at
least temporarily.
Despite giving me a queasy feeling and reading quite a bit of messages
advising against it, running Oracle over NFS with a NAS filer doesn't
seem to be unusual. Is there a reason PG would be more sensitive than
Oracle?
Anyone ever done this before in a production environment?

Hi:
We developed a set of ASP.NET Web Applications that never runs in
stand-alone mode, but always inside a portal (Rainbow Portal). All modules
are copied on that portal.
My question is: load time takes, sometimes, three or four of minutes in
a medium-level machine (a PIII 1.5 Ghz), when the binary contents are
changed, or if the time of last modification of the web.config file is
changed.
An application that runs in "stand-alone" mode...
