Hi all, I have encountered two problems when using linked tables; the linked
table is connected to SQL server 2000.
1) How can I add the N prefix of a string constant in a query in order to
search for double byte characters? I found that the search returns no result
if no N prefix is added. If I use passthrough query, it works. Any
suggestion if I do want an access select query instead of passthrough query

To work with linked tables is a professional method of working with a frond
end and back end mdb.
Working with linked tables on a local pc gives an acceptable performance but
in case you start working with linked tables on a server (network) the
performance will be drastically reduce.

I've encountered a troublesome inconsistency in the C-language Perl
extension I've written for CPAN (Digest::SHA). The problem involves the
use of a static array within a performance-critical transform function.

I have a split front end/back end system. However I create a number of
local tables to carry out certain operations. There is a tendency for
the front end to bloat so I have set 'compact on close'
I think that I have read in some threads (althoug I cannot find them
now) that others place such tables in a local, linked database. I

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
