Connection in views of one of other users of a sid

1 New Member
Hello, I try to connect directly to views of one of other users of a sid. With Oracke SQL Developer, I see that the view I need is in :
Connection -> RMSP -> Other users -> RMS -> Views.
When I do a connection with VisualBasic and a Oracle ODBC, I go in :
Connection -> RMSP -> Views.

Where and what do I change to go directly in the good views ?
Change in tnsname.ora ? in Oracle ODBC Driver Configuration ? in VisualBasic ?

Thanks for the help.

awhile back, eBay decided to switch from a Microsoft/.NET/Windows architecture on the backend to a J2EE one, which might explain why their java backend will handle up to 1 BILLION page views a day! the funny thing was eBay was one of the major case studies for .NET at the beginning, when there was still some hype about it. interesting post about a few java case studies: http://weblogs.java.net/pub/wlg/268 "I love looking through case...

Hello, I have a few rather urgent questions that I hope someone can help with (I need to figure this out prior to a meeting tomorrow.) First, a bit of background: The company I work for is developing a web-based application, one part of which involves allowing the user the ability to page through transaction "history" information. The _summary_ history table will have the following fields: ServiceName, Date, User-Ref1, User-Ref2,...

The purpose for my questions is accessing these technologies from applications. I develop both applications and databases. Working with Microsoft C#.NET and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Production and 2005 Test Environments. What is the purpose of a view if I can just copy the vode from a view and put it into a stored procedure? Should I be accessing views from stored procedures?

Fellow database developers, I would like to draw on your experience with views. I have a database that includes many views. Sometimes, views contains other views, and those views in turn may contain views. In fact, I have some views in my database that are a product of nested views of up to 6 levels deep! The reason we did this was. 1. Object-oriented in nature. Makes it easy to work with them.

I have a A2K database that includes some linked tables (these links are SQL views). Sometimes there are "issues" with the SQL server and the users receive a timeout error whenever they try to access those records. The timeout error occurs after 60 seconds. Many times the user has given up and used ctrl-alt-del to end task thinking their computer has locked up. I suppose I could change the default timeout from 60 seconds down to 30...

thanks guys, I was hoping to be able to get the info from some method on oracle's own jdbc implementation classes, as both suggestion to use these view imply another trip to the db from the application - just to know if there was uncommitted work. thanks, Edo mcstock wrote:

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
