I'm getting my feet wet with making Python talk to MySQL via ODBC. I
started on Windows, and it went smoothly enough due to the ODBC stuff
that apparently is native to Python at least on windows (I've been
following ch. 13 of Mark Hammond's py on win32 book).
But now I'm trying to do equivalent stuff on linux (Fedora Core 3) with
python 2.3.5 and mysql. I'd like to stick with packages that are
native to python, rather than relying on...

Hi all,
Is there a way to "cast" the text datatype fields in order to
not be interpreted as Memo fields in some Delphi data-aware
components? specifically DbGrids ? Should I tweak the
ODBC driver config ? or it is something related to the
client side programming tool? (delphi in this case).

Hi, all.
I'm a delphi developer who is working on a very old delphi application
that uses db2v7 via ADO (Mdac).
I know that v7 is very, very old, but at this moment, we cant' upgrade
to a different version... :-((
(I've seen db2 v9.. it's cool, IF WORKS FINE....).
Now, I need to add a table that uses (b)lob fields.
I've create a small table to do some test, but I've errors getting or
setting blob field value from delphi application:

Hi,
I manage an rather old application in which we have some fairly complex (ugly) Delphi code. This is Delphi 6 we're talking about.
Among all this Delphi code there is method for formating a print layout for slip printers. Pass a few parameters to this method and it returns a Delphi string which contains the entire slip, ready for sending to the slip printer.
Now, we're slowly migrating to .NET and am in need of printing this slip...

When I years ago installed Oracle 7.3 there was a 'native driver' to Borland
Delphi 3 (sqlora32.dll and ora73.dll!)!
If I today buy and install Oracle 10.0.1, can I then be sure that there is
another 'native driver' to the old Delpi 3?? Or is the communication type
(BDE) too old?
