Exporting a table from Access to Oracle

60 New Member
Hi everybody.
I'm in trouble in exporting a table from the Access to Oracle.
I've created a table in Access and inserted nearly 20 records in that.
Then i tried to move that into Oracle using the export option in the File menu.
After copied the table into Oracle,
The table that i moved from the Access has been listed in the list of tables in the oracle.
But when i selected the the table to view its content in SQL using the SELECT query, i have been got up with an error telling that there is no table of such name in the database.
I even cant able to delete the table name from the list.
What mistake i di?
Can you please help me?

I also posted similarly in mailing.database.mysql I have created a rather large (60 table database) website dealio in PHP that works with MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and presumably any other data base I add to the wrapper functions that I created. All the development was done in Oracle, but now its time to create that large datastructure again in MySQL -- now I've built this all in notepad for Oracle (twice) and built it in SQL Server...

I am using Microsoft Access 2000 and Oracle 9.2.0.5 on Windows 2000. When I export a table from Access to Oracle using ODBC I get error: ORA 972 identifier too long I think the error is because one or more columns in Access table are longer than 30 characters. My question is how one can overcome this problem. I also see several column names which have /, ? or spaces in name

The short of it: If you needed to import a CSV file of a certain structure on a regular basis(say 32 csv files, each to one a table in 32 databases), what would be your first instinct on how to set this up so as to do it reliably and minimize overhead? There are currently no constraints on the destination table. Assume the user or some configuration specifies the database name, server name, and filename+fullpath. The server is SQL...

My problem is: I have to look up in access table and delete the records from oracle table if a certain record is not available in the access table. Is there a way of doing that ? Can I get some help ? To make my point more clear, here is the code ,...

I have no problems exporting records with an addition query for a single table into a singel table of the other database. However, i would like to create a function to export the records in one go from the multiple tables in the first database to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
