My machine is Windows XP with Oracle 9.2 Home; IIS and Oracle
are in the same box.
I have tried both Oracle OLEDB Provider and Microsoft ODBC For Oracle,
but both not working.
For Microsoft ODBC For Oracle approach, I added a data source
in Oracle Data Source Administrator, in System DSN tab, I created
a system data source named OracleDSN with Microsoft ODBC for Oracle.

My Access 2002-application need to work with tables from both Oracle and
Access. To solve this, I want to run some querys on three views in Oracle
and import the results into temporary Access-tables.
I have tried this:
conn.Provider = "Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0"
conn.ConnectionString = "data source=" & datafil & ";Jet OLEDB:Database
Password="
conn.Open datafil

Hi!
I'm using DB2 database on one server and ORACLE database on the second one.
I want to move some data from ORACLE database to DB2 database and update
some columns on ORACLE database so I know what rows were transfered. I'd
like to do this in a distributed XA transaction and Java. :)
How is this possible ?
Best regards,
Kovi

A bug I noticed which doesn't seem to be posted on usenet, nor
recognized by Oracle (who didn't want to help unless we had been using
their ADO.NET provider...):
We used to retrieve the sequence id, mysequence.nextval, into ADO.NET.
This was returned as a decimal and so we cast it directly to a
decimal. However, when we upgraded the Oracle database to 10g, the
code broke because the value thus returned was then a double
(which .NET...

Hopefully, I frame this problem/question correctly.
I have some code written/updated in visual studio 2003. This code when setup on other machines where I have installed the Oracle 9i client, and the Oracle 9.0 odbc drivers will connect to my oracle database when debugging. I ported the SAME code onto a new machine, installed visual studio 2003, installed IIS, installed the .net frameworks 1 thru 3, but when I am going through the code and...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
