labeling network switches

is there any effective way to label a network switch/router?

ex. i want to know the speed ,computer number ,port number of switch for each end of a network wire to easily locate the appropriate wires.

okay..i have a system i want to use.

does anyone know of a good place to (reliable, cost efficient,...) to buy cable labels from?

Try <external website deleted>, they offer free software and the labels are great too.
